alissa jessup: director/ writer 

Alissa Jessup is a writer, director and actor based on the west coast. She was born and raised in Seattle but became a woman in NYC. 

 

As an actor, she has performed/developed new plays with Sundance Theatre Lab, 13P, Soho Rep, P.S. 122 and N.T.U.S.A.  TV Credits include Casual (hulu), True Blood (HBO), The Mindy Project (FOX), & The Mentalist (CBS) Her work in Clint Eastwood’s movie, “American Sniper,” ended up on the cutting room floor.

 

The last few years Alissa has been writing and performing her own work through stand up, sketch and storytelling. She has performed improv comedy at Upright Citizens Brigade NYC & L.A., and The Groundlings. Alissa loves living on the west coast with her luthier husband, their dog and two cats.
